AAGL is the global leader for educational opportunities in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS). We provide several educational opportunities for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, and allied health care professionals to improve their practices through an extensive compendium of continuing education activities. In addition to SurgeryU, Webinars, CME offerings, and our Global Congress, we have two additional programs that provide hands-pm continuing medical education in this specialty.

EMIGS

Essentials in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (EMIGS) is a comprehensive program designed by experts in the field for the standardized education and assessment of MIGS knowledge and skills. Approved for use by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology (ABOG) as an alternative to the current Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS) examination, our EMIGS program encompasses three main components, EMIGS Didactics, EMIGS Cognitive, and EMIGS Manual Skills.

FMIGS

AAGL’s Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (FMIGS) was developed to address the concern that most graduating residents in obstetrics and gynecology were not fully trained in modern endoscopic surgery. The Fellowship offers two and three year comprehensive training program through 52 hospital sites across the USA, Canada, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and Ireland. Educational objectives focus on advanced gynecologic endoscopy for graduating gynecologic residents who are interested in a focus in minimally invasive surgery.
