It is a tremendous honor to serve as President of the Foundation of the AAGL in 2025. I am proud to continue the work of my predecessors and to collaborate with our remarkable Foundation Board and staff who are deeply committed to our mission of advancing minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and improving the lives of women around the world.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our members, industry partners, and donors—especially those who gave so enthusiastically during last year’s Foundation Celebration Night paddle raise—we have made remarkable strides in our global outreach efforts. Your support is making a real and lasting difference.
In 2024, the Foundation raised nearly $500,000, which has been reinvested directly into our community. These funds supported a wide range of initiatives, including grants to FMIGS programs, scholarships for OB-GYN residents, fellows, and AAGL members to attend the AAGL Global Congress, awards for excellence and scientific achievement, and support for MIGS simulation research. Together, we are advancing education, training, and innovation for the next generation of MIGS leaders.
Our global outreach programs are another example of the meaningful impact we’re achieving together. This past year, we provided essential funding for minimally invasive surgery in underserved regions through support of two inspiring initiatives: The McKinney Foundation in Grenada and the HEM Project in Kenya. These efforts were further strengthened by a generous donation of hysteroscopic towers from Richard Wolf, which are already in use and changing lives.
In 2025, we are proud to continue supporting these programs and are excited to announce that a third global site will soon be selected—expanding our reach even further.
This is a moment of momentum and purpose. With your continued support, we will keep building on this progress, delivering resources, opportunities, and lasting change in women’s health around the world.
Thank you for being such a vital part of this journey.
With gratitude and hope,
Dr. Lori Warren
